🔔 Auto-subscribe new Viewer members seamlessly

To ensure no one misses an updates, we’ve introduced the auto-subscribe feature for new Viewer members on private status pages (user+password or SSO-enabled). Once activated via the new "Auto-subscribe new members" checkbox under privacy settings, this feature automatically subscribes any new members who accept an invite to notifications.

This applies to all invite methods:

  • Manually via the UI
  • Via API
  • Invite Link
  • SSO access

This reduces the chance of communication gaps, ensuring new users are looped in from day one—effortlessly keeping your team or customers connected.

🔐 Enhanced security with captcha

We’ve introduced our new in-house captcha system by replacing hCaptcha, offering a more GDPR-compliant solution for our EU customers, by keeping all their data within the EU.

This change not only helps streamline compliance for privacy-conscious customers, but also provides a more user-friendly experience with captcha challenges that are easier to solve.

🔗 Manage metrics via our Restful API

Managing your status page metrics has never been easier. With our new full CRUD API support, you can create, read, update, and delete metrics via the /api/v2 route, matching the functionality available in the Admin UI. This enhancement gives developers more control and flexibility, allowing you to manage metrics programmatically and streamline integration with your internal systems.

Our API documentation has been updated to reflect these new capabilities, ensuring you're fully equipped to leverage the power of our APIs.

Improvements

🔎 Streamlined subscriptions with the "Confirmed" filter

We’ve introduced a "Confirmed" filter on the Subscriptions page to make managing subscriber lists more straightforward. You can now filter by All, Confirmed, or Unconfirmed using a dropdown, helping you quickly identify and act on your subscribers' status.

This enhancement simplifies subscription oversight, enabling more efficient management of customer notifications and reducing the risk of miscommunication.

🔑 Better access control with SSO role mapping

Automatically assign access groups to Viewer members signing in via SSO by selecting an access group below the status page selector.

📞 Preventing duplicates with normalized phone numbers

To streamline subscription management further, we’ve implemented phone number normalization. This ensures that duplicate entries in your subscriber list are avoided, giving you a cleaner and more accurate dataset.

For instance, phone numbers like “+1 (555) 123-4567” and “5551234567” will now be recognized as the same number, preventing duplicate entries, improving the accuracy of your subscriber data and reducing the risk of sending duplicate messages.

✉️ Flexible alphanumeric input in Twilio "From" field

We’ve removed restrictions on the Twilio "From" field, allowing alphanumeric input, which lets you personalize the "From" field in your SMS notifications. This means instead of sending messages from a standard phone number, you can now display your company name or a branded identifier.

For example, instead of receiving a message from “+123456789,” your customers could see “StatusPal,” making your messages instantly recognizable and more professional, helping build trust with customers and ensure that your messages stand out from generic SMS notifications.

🐞 And more bug fixes…

In addition to these exciting new features and improvements, we've also addressed several bugs to further enhance your experience. These fixes target stability, performance, and usability, ensuring smoother operation and fewer disruptions as you manage your status pages.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue refining and improving the platform!
